The available payment method depends on the biller, the service you use and operational requirements. Where Deferit pays the biller directly, we follow the payment instructions on the bill. This could be electronic, ACH or by mailed check.
We require your explicit consent before paying by mailed check. Uploading a bill is not, by itself, explicit consent to a check payment.
You pay using a Deferit virtual card
Where available, a virtual card lets you pay the approved bill directly. You must use the card within its validity period and pay early enough for your biller to process it. If it is not accepted, contact Support promptly to arrange an alternative method or discuss an applicable refund.
