Deferit is a membership service. To join, you must meet our eligibility requirements and be approved for membership. Some features and individual bills require separate approval.
General eligibility
To join Deferit, you must:
- Be at least the age of legal majority where you live, which is 18 in most jurisdictions.
- Be a legal resident of the United States or its territories.
- Verify your identity using your name, date of birth and any other information we request. You can have only one account per person.
- Pay the $1.99 application fee.
All membership applications are subject to our approval criteria, which may change over time. We review each application and may decline it based on our risk checks.
Pay in 4 and Pay in 2 eligibility
Pay in 4 and Pay in 2 are available in select states and are subject to eligibility and approval. We will inform you based on your address if these features are available in your state.
If eligible, you’ll receive an approved balance, which we’ll show you during sign-up, before you pay any membership fee.
Your approved balance may increase over time as you make on-time payments and maintain a positive payment history. Increases are subject to approval and are not guaranteed. We may review your eligibility when you sign up, when you use a feature or at other times. If your account is placed under review, we’ll notify you and explain any next steps.
