BrightRidge is a not-for-profit public electric utility serving Washington, Sullivan, Carter and Greene counties in northeast Tennessee. Originally established as the Johnson City Power Board in 1945, the organization rebranded to BrightRidge in 2017 when it expanded to include broadband services, serving over 83,000 customers.
