GCI (GCI Communication Corp.) is a telecommunications company headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, founded in 1979. It provides internet, mobile/wireless, and home phone service to residential and business customers across Alaska, including many rural and remote communities not served by other providers. GCI has invested roughly $4 billion in its statewide network since founding, and the company reports that 97% of Alaskans live within its network coverage area. GCI previously offered cable TV service but discontinued its pay-TV and Yukon TV streaming offerings in 2025 to focus on broadband and mobile.
