About Hixson Utility District
Hixson Utility District is a water utility serving parts of Chattanooga, Lakesite, Soddy-Daisy, and Red Bank, as well as portions of unincorporated Hamilton County in Tennessee, north of downtown Chattanooga. Established on June 14, 1941, under Tennessee's Utility District Law of 1937, the district has grown from an initial 25 citizens to over 29,000 customers. The district operates over 450 miles of water distribution lines.
