About Auburn Water Works Board
The Auburn Water Works Board is a public corporation organized to acquire, construct, operate, maintain, improve, and extend water treatment plants and distribution systems serving the City of Auburn, Alabama, under a franchise agreement with the city. It is governed by a five-member board appointed by the Auburn City Council under Section 11-50-313(c) of the Code of Alabama, with members serving six-year terms and required to be registered voters who own real property in Auburn.
