Tideland Electric Membership Corporation, commonly known as Tideland EMC, is a not-for-profit rural electric utility cooperative serving Beaufort, Craven, Dare, Hyde, Washington, and Pamlico counties in North Carolina. As one of 26 electric cooperatives operating statewide, Tideland EMC is part of a broader network of more than 1,000 cooperatives across the United States. The cooperative provides electricity distribution to member-customers.
